Editorial Policy & Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: August 2026
This page explains how we research and write reviews on Wellness Scout, and how our affiliate relationships work. We publish it separately from our general terms because we think it matters enough to be easy to find.
How we choose what to cover
We generally cover products in categories readers are actively researching, such as weight management, joint support, gut health and daily wellness. A product doesn't have to pay us or offer us anything to be reviewed.
How we research a product
- We read the manufacturer's own product page, ingredient list and stated claims closely
- We look at publicly available customer reviews and ratings, and note where they're sourced from the manufacturer's own site rather than an independent platform
- We check what the actual guarantee, refund policy and shipping terms are, not just what the marketing implies
- We do not fabricate quotes, professional endorsements, or clinical claims. If a claim can't be verified independently, we either drop it or say clearly that it comes from the manufacturer
Affiliate disclosure
Many pages on Wellness Scout contain affiliate links. If you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer or manufacturer, at no additional cost to you. This is how the site is funded.
Affiliate relationships do not influence our verdict. We're just as willing to point out where a product's guarantee is weak, a claim is unproven, or a competitor covers the same need better.
Corrections
If you spot outdated pricing, a broken link, or something factually wrong on the site, tell us via our contact page and we'll look into it.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Content is for general informational purposes only. Always speak to a qualified healthcare professional before starting a new supplement or wellness product, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or managing a health condition.
